WANTED BY FBI: SHOOTER(S) OF SAN JUAN CITY POLICE PILOT

IBSI is asking any person who may have information that can lead to the arrest of the person(s) who shot and killed a San Juan City Police helicopter pilot, to come forward and contact the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), so that the death of one of Puerto Rico's heroes doesn't go unpunished.

Jesús Fernando Quiñones, a photo journalist and police officer, was shot while flying over the scene of a chase where two men had fled from San Juan City Police Officers after a minor traffic violation. One suspect was caught and the other escaped into a low-income residential project. It is not know if the fleeing suspect or if someone else opened fire on the police helicopter. If you have information about this incident, contact the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) at 787-754-6000

This was not the first time that a police helicopter is shot at by individuals involved in criminal activities, however, it is the first time that a pilot gets wounded and killed by those shots. The murder of police officers is a federal felony that qualifies for death penalty.

UPDATE: Four individuals have turned themselves in to the police after learning that they were being sought by the authorities in relation to the shooting of the police helicopter flown by officerQuiñones.
